As the first ever private College in Myanmar, we are highly committed to the development of our student education with positive attitudes and ethics. To provide state-of-the-art quality education and to be the positive changemaker in the private higher education sector in Myanmar, the followings are our strategic priorities that we follow closely to fulfil our passion, contributions, commitments, and objectives.
STRATEGIC PRIORITIES
These are our 6 strategic priorities of our College aiming to exploit our core strengths and opportunities for further developments of our College:
Priority 1 : Education
MIC believes that quality education is essential for promoting the leadership developments and capabilities of our youths and our students. Accordingly, we are strongly inspired by our academic faculty members’ resourceful knowledge, experience, and expertise in delivering proper education and academic skills to all of our students.
Throughout their learning journey at our College, our students are nurtured with the repository of respective disciplinary knowledge and skills that play a vital role in developing their critical thinking skills and learning experiences.
Hence, we aim to perceptually enhance the quality of our academicians by recruiting highly competent professors, practitioners, and lecturers whilst continuously developing the professionalism of our student support staff and nourishing the quality of our programmes' integrated curriculum designs and quality assurance.
We are strongly committed to enhancing and facilitating the student access to academic and learning support resources via our Imperial Portal and Imperial Library where learning opportunities are magnified for the students to develop their greater range of capabilities, knowledge, competency, skills and industrial experiences.
Priority 2 : Research
Having established years of academic knowledge and community, we are convinced that research plays a critical role in providing evidence-based education and practice. Any individual researcher, research practitioner, and research organization are greatly valued in their respective study areas and professional fields, and we highly encourage our students to develop their research skills, with which they are likely to expand their particular knowledge in relation to their programmes.
In this highly volatile environment of the 21st century, we are committed to making the best use of evidence-based decision making via research as well as creating a sustainably supportive research environment at the College whereby delivering appropriate business research programmes and trainings.
To expand our research community, we connect both national and global research networks and teams. We intend to host international research conferences in close collaboration with top-ranked Universities in the world. We contribute our faculty’s invaluable research expertise and experience to our corporate and industrial partners.
Correspondingly, their organizational developments are heightened and achieved, with effective strategies conducted and appropriate mechanisms applied.
Priority 3 : Capacity Building
In order to empower our academic success in quality-education, students with outstanding qualifications and capabilities are identified and further developed to reach their full potential. Accordingly, we ensure that our faculties’ teaching styles and methods are consistently monitored and properly improved to support positive learning outcomes of students.
Throughout the learning process, the necessary resources are timely facilitated based on the requirements of both lecturers and learners such as the provision of up-to-date textbooks and reading materials for each module of the programmes.
We have identified key measurements to guarantee that the education we provide is conformed to the quality standards set by the College. Primarily, we make sure that our lecturers are resourceful with proficient knowledge and teaching experiences in relation to their teaching modules. Our lecturers are provided with adequate training and development programmes to be continually expanding the scopes of their knowledge, skills, and trendy teaching capacities.
Overall, we are entitled to supporting and encouraging both the personal and professional development of our members who are working together at the College, with different roles and responsibilities.
Priority 4 : Global Reach
As a very first leading private college in Myanmar, MIC finds it enthusiastic to establish mutually beneficial collaborations with top universities across the world. With the purpose of representing the country’s education standard and academic qualities, we put our focus on developing outstanding students and encourage them to reach their full potential in achieving their dreams and success.
In this way, we are committed to highlighting the extents to which our students are able to keep abreast in pace with international students based on creativity and knowledge capacity.
Priority 5 : Corporate Social Responsibility
MIC aims to be fully engaged in offering the development opportunities of the country’s Human Resources in terms of their intellectual and professional skills relevant with their different industries. Free workshops, seminars, discussions and such training resources will be contributed to the public which promotes the development of the youths within our society and our country, Myanmar.
Hence, not only the academic faculty members but also the key stakeholders of the College will be requested to contribute their leadership and management capability in promoting the social welfare of our community altogether.
Priority 6 : Financial Sustainability
In order to make sure that our long-term strategic plan is feasible and realistic, it is significant for us to identify the financial position and all the possible scenarios regarding risks and benefits.
We will be fortifying our financial strengths, which will be efficiently allocated to implement the key priorities of our strategic direction.
OUR CULTURAL VALUES
Among the private institutions across Myanmar, we not only provide the globally-recognized academic qualifications for our students but also preserve and embed our traditional heritage and cultural values within our campus. The College campus is inspired by Burmese Vintage and British Colonial architecture style with modernized facilities.
Not only that, whereas Myanmar Imperial College is well-renowned as the first-ever private College in Myanmar; the surplus amount of traditional aspects, cultural values and respects are embedded at the heart of the College which have been caringly shared among the family members and students of MIC as well.
