Myanmar Imperial College's
Positive Contribution against

COVID-19 outbreak

With the aim to consistently safeguard the welfare and safety of all stakeholders of MIC, Myanmar Imperial College takes precautionary measure against the recent outbreak of the global pandemic, COVID-19. In accordance to the health advice, decision and guidance of World Health Organization (WHO) and the announcement from Myanmar Ministry of Education on 16th March, 2020, Myanmar Imperial College has temporary postponed all the ongoing classes as effective from 17th March, 2020 and further information and recommencing date of the College will be updated accordingly through our digital media channels of MIC.

Throughout the period of the outbreak of COVID-19, Myanmar Imperial College persistently provided diverse measures to prevent from the outbreak of COVID-2019 through:

  • Close monitoring
  • Carrying out regular temperature checks
  • Spraying of disinfectant across the College campus
  • Allocation of surgical masks and hand sanitisers
  • Sharing of health-related knowledge and information for all stakeholders
  • Practicing of the social distancing rule
  • Provision of allowances and covering the expenses of team members
  • Carrying out Work from Home scheme for our members in-line with close monitoring and guidance from our Management Board.
  • Implementing Blended / e-Learning System with the intention to avoid students from being academically affected from the temporary postponement of all ongoing classes.

At the same time, during the present time of COVID-19, alike most organization, our team has been working really had and is striving the utmost best in securing the health and well-being of our stakeholder of all aspects. We had presently recommenced our daily work operations at office, however, under close management and supervision of our Management Board and strict health guidelines and measures as advised by the Ministry of Health and Sports and Ministry of Education, we implement the best and strictest health practices throughout our College campus, with safeguarding the health and safety of our stakeholder being our utmost priority of all.

Additionally, all our classes have been ongoing per normal schedule via Blended / e-Learning System for our students to study safely at their very own residence during this present time of COVID-19 outbreak. Our further College's ventures and recommencement date will be pursued strictly as aligned to the announcement and guidelines of the Ministry of Health and Sports and Ministry of Education accordingly.

Myanmar Imperial College would like to cordially advice everyone not to be distressed by the outbreak and to strictly take respective health measures as advised by the Ministry of Health and Ministry of Education and to stay safely at your respective residence during this tough time of crisis. Also, should you be inspected with any symptoms of the virus, please do report or take necessary precautionary measures at an immediate action. We wish everyone to be well and safe from this global pandemic of COVID-19.

Imperial Family's Act of
Good Deed

We strongly believe that together, with the great sense of love, compassion and humanity we are able to fight against the recent global pandemic outbreak of COVID-19.

Let us share some of the memorable moments of our Imperial Family wholeheartedly donating rice, oil and MMK 5,000 to fulfill upon the needs of the fellow workers from YCDC nearby our College Campus.

As a family, we had carried out this good deed of act together and would like to heartily share upon our positive contributions with everyone.

Together, let us fight against COVID-19 and overcome any challenges and obstacles with love, compassion and humanity.

We wish everyone to be safe and well from the outbreak of COVID-19.

Memories of Good Deeds

Our Imperial family visited Kyaik Myaw Monastery to participate in carrying out good deeds and cordially attending the ceremony of Jade Pagoda.

We had wholeheartedly donated a sum of $29,000 including:

  • $10,000 dedicated to the Jade Pagoda
  • $10,000 worth audio system & appliances devoted for Dharma-Talk Sessions
  • $900 dedicated to the individual 40 monks

As a family, we had carried out great amount of good deeds and would like to heartily share our positive contributions and devotional deeds with everyone.

May our good deeds bring merit, peace and happiness to you all.

Memories at Kyaik Mayaw

Myanmar Imperial College would like to express our deepest sorrow and sympathy for the victims who had suffered from the recent outbreak of severe flood that occured in Mon State, Myanmar.

On behalf of Myanmar Imperial College, our founders, Mr. Phyo Maung Maung and Mrs. Poht Poht Kyi had wholeheartedly donated a total sum of 35 Lakhs inclusive of 15 Lakhs of donation, 40 bags of rice, 2 litres of oil, 400 pieces of blankets and 100 pieces of mat for the victims of this catastrophe on 13th August, 2019 (Tuesday) at Kyaik Mayaw monastery.

Sharing is Caring

It was such a heartfelt honor and pleasure for our College to commence our first philanthropic endeavour of this academic year 2020.

Our Founders, Mr. Phyo Maung Maung and Mrs. Poht Poht Kyi along with our family members and Executive Committee Members had visited Hmawbi Elder Orphanage to wholeheartedly bestow a total sum of MMK 15 Lakhs donation inclusive of medical supplies, nourishment and other forms of benefaction to support upon the various needs for the individuals.

Most importantly, we had spent our well-treasured time together, shared kindness, memories and love as well as creating this extraordinarily pleasant and memorable moments together.

As the first-ever private College in Myanmar, not only we are aiming to deliver our students with highest quality education and excellence, but also pledges to consistently be a big part in positive contribution and welfare of our youths, society and country.
