Following the passionate ambition of our Founders, Mr. Phyo Maung Maung and Mrs. Poht Poht Kyi in creating positive change and landmark in Myanmar’s higher education sector, Myanmar Imperial College has been established as the very first private leading College of Myanmar since the year ‘2004’ with the initial capital investment of US$2,000 founded by Myanmar citizens, U Phyo Maung Maung and Daw Poht Poht Kyi. Although it was commenced with only 4 students in the beginning, the College presently has a close-knitted network of 3,000 graduates and more than 1,400 registered students studying at the College.
With the intention of positively contributing to both the country and society; the academic philosophy of Myanmar Imperial College solely focuses on academic excellence and highly- supportive learning environment for the students. The programmes range from Bachelor to Doctorate Programmes in Business Management, Marketing Management, International Tourism Management, and Executive Diploma Programmes in strong collaborations with Pearson (UK) and the University of Northampton (UK).
Whereas a surplus amount of traditional aspects and cultural values are embedded at the heart of the College, Myanmar Imperial College has also led and whole-heartedly participated in hosting a vast number of campaigns, and numerous social-welfare and CSR activities that hugely aim to create positive impacts and social contributions on both the country and the society.

Founded in the year 2015, Myanmar Imperial Gems & Jewelry provides the finest and the most exquisite gemstones from Mogok district. Incorporating with our highly skilled craftmanship, we aim to provide everyone the jewelry of dreams which will provide them with the most beautiful experience of lifetime. Operating under one of the group of businesses of Imperial Investment Capital Co., Ltd, the headquarter of Myanmar Imperial Gems & Jewelry is designated at Myanmar Imperial University (MIU) with the development of the outlet of Myanmar Imperial Gems & Jewelry is presently being processed and aimed to be unveiled in the upcoming year 2021.
Our Imperial Bistro offers a wide ranges of dishes which are freshly cooked and prepared and with attention paid to finest. Students are able enjoy their meals at a special rate here at our Imperial Bistro while spending great quality time with their fellow Imperians. Our Imperial Bistro is greatly packed and bustled with our Imperians most of the times during a regular day here at our University.
Located in the heart of our University, our Imperial Café one of the favorite spot for our Imperians, members and visitors to enjoy their delicious meal accompanied by a great cup of coffee. Some visitors here at our Imperial Café visit here just for food while most frequent visitors regularly come here to enjoy the atmosphere to have a great time and chat over a good cup of caffeine or serving as their study area studying, preparing for their respective lectures and presentation or holding study discussions here at our Imperial Café.
MIU FC was founded by two young entrepreneurs, U Phyo Maung Maung and Daw Poht Poht Kyi who are the founders of Myanmar Imperial University. They are very passionate about creating a positive change on the quality of private higher education and social contributions, in Myanmar. MIU Futsal Club commonly known as MIU FC, is a professional futsal club based in Yangon, Myanmar. MIU FC was founded as “Hobbit FC” in 2009, restricted as “Tha-Ma-Da FC” in 2010, changed its name to MIC FC in 2011 and, now stands with the name of MIU FC in 2019 with established Myanmar Imperial University (MIU).
Currently, the club is training at contracted stadiums regularly. Myanmar Imperial University’s Sport Complex serves as one of the main training grounds for MIU Futsal Club at U Wisara Campus. We are one of the most popular and successful sports teams among Myanmar Futsal Clubs, playing one of the most popular spectator sports in Asia Futsal Level.
MIU FC currently stands at No.1 ranking in Myanmar and not only they regularly participated in National Tournaments, but also they take part in International Tournaments as well. In addition to that, MIU FC has also reached to great heights by reaching the standards to participate in AFC tournament which is known as famed and prestigious futsal tournament across Asia and also been awarded in the tournament as well in 2018 and 2019.
Furthermore, with other national futsal clubs in Myanmar, MIU FC had recently participated in MFF Futsal Cup 2020 in Myanmar as well as AFF Nakhonratchasima Futsal Club Champion 2019 where we had been awarded as Champions and 2nd place runner-up respectively. MIU FC has been active in Public Relation and CSR activities in terms of social-welfare, health remuneration and other benefits for students and members of MIU. The vision of MIU FC hugely focuses on producing talented national football prospects in the future in accordance with the MIU slogan, “Leaders for tomorrow.”
Being one of our expansion projects established under Myanmar Imperial Investment Capital, the MIC Village is the hub of recreation and innovation for our students, youths and society. Diverse range of businesses and facilities will be operated under our establishment of MIC Village inclusive of the Imperial Café, Myanmar Imperial Gems & Jewelry, MIC Car Spa, Imperial Sports Complex, Imperial Arts Gallery and many more. The MIC Village is presently under the process of development and will be aiming to be launched by the end of this year.
The MIRA was formed in 2018 and it is housed at Myanmar Imperial University, Yangon, Myanmar. Governed by a collection of distinguished research practitioners and scholars from across the field, the MIRA acknowledges the importance of research that research is essential not only for students and academics but also for all professionals.
As the study and practice of research becomes more diverse and beneficial, the MIRA aims to play a vital role in the promotion of research knowledge and host a broad range of research conferences, trainings and events catering to students, marketers, researchers and academicians in all stages of their studies and careers.
Primarily based on the ultimate values of Myanmar Imperial University, Myanmar Imperial Research Association (MIRA) was established by Myanmar Imperial University in January, 2018 and the Association aims to reinforce the research practice and development of our country’s academic society and business industries, strengthening cooperation and exchanges among researchers from different study fields.
Our Imperial Journal invites paper and proposals in social science and business administration topics for all researchers and stakeholders. With the great ambition to develop bring Myanmar Futsal to the highest possible place and standard in Asia Futsal Level as well as to enhance dynamic team spirits and ethical sportsmanship within the athletes, we had established our Imperial Sports Complex which will be located at our new expansion project, the MIU Village. Our Imperial Sports Complex is well-designed indoor futsal court for our students and sportsmen who have a great interest and passion at playing futsal. The Imperial Sports Complex also serves as a multi-functional sports venue that facilitates a wide array of other sporting activities. The Imperial Sports Complex will also be serving as an official training ground for our MIU Futsal Club and a venue that will be hosting a wide range of both local and international Futsal tournaments.
